About the Author
Born in York, Peter has spent most of his life in Beverley, a town he has great affection for, and although now working full time in Hull managing the City Council's Booking Office for the New Theatre and City Hall, Peter's foray into the entertainment world began with many years of involvement in Beverley's Playhouse Cinema, Now believed to be the oldest in the Country.
Peter started writing with articles for newspapers and magazines, his first book being the history of the Playhouse Cinema, "The Home of Beautiful Pictures" (Hutton Press 1985), followed by "Pages From The Past" (Highgate), and in 1987 and 1988 brought out the two collections of "Ghosts and Hauntings" again from Hutton Press.
!989 was to see a break from ghosts with the publication of Peter's fascinating chronology of World War II, "...Then The War Came" (Hutton Press), then within a month it was back to the ghosts with "Spooky", this time for the children's market with an interesting mix of local history and legend in the ghostly tale. However, Spooky fans had to wait until 1992 for his second story, "Spooky and the Great Railway Adventure", both these books being published by Peter's Playhouse Publishing Company.
Then it was back to the more adult world of ghosts with another collection of stories for your enjoyment.
Peter still writes on a regular basis and has at october 2001 three unfinished novels in the melting pot.
